I workout at the Gym alot. And I’m constantly moving. I had a wired headset that first broke when the wire got snagged on the DB as I was lifting. With this wireless headset I was able to move around freely! The sound quality is great, not earbleeding loud but loud enough so I dont hear the gym’s selection. A friend at the gym bought a pair but a different brand. His stopped working after a few months, from the swet. I sweat alot while at the gym as well especially doing cardio and they are still holding up strong. I havent even needed to replace the cushion covers. The fit is really good as well. While laying on the bench, I can rest my head without the headset band pushing the earphones off my head. Overall I’d say these are well worth the money for any gym rat looking for a great headset!!!! The biggest problem I would have to say is the wireless adapter that plugs into the Ipod, if you remove it, and are absent minded like me, you may loose it and have to buy another pair like I’m getting ready to do now, however they have dropped in price from $149 to 99, so now I would recommend these as a Must Buy!!!

I got tired of dragging around the wires of other headphones. I thought I’d try wireless and found the iMuffs. It’s true they’re easy to set up and get working. Sounds pretty good. However, if you want to use they to work out, BEWARE. While not water-proof, they’re suppose to be durable enough to use at the gym. Well, on my third use it wouldn’t work. Then try to get a person from support to speak to. I only spoke to the receptionist. The only contact I ever made with support was an email from “Todd” who advised me to return them to Amazon. I guess wireless headphones aren’t ready for prime time.

At first I was really excited to get the imuffs for my iphone I loved the fact that I didn’t have any wires and could listen to music on pandora and ipod while working out. The sound was good, but I was having problems getting it to work, so I contacted wi-gear directly. Every time I called them I would get an answering service, there was never an option to talk to a support staff. I left numerous messages and emailed support as well. Finally after a week I got a call and they did help me with the problem I was having. So I was excited to start using it.

Within 30 days they stopped working, there was an annoying beeping noise, the headphones made a static noise whenever I tried to use them and finally they stopped working. I called wi-gear again and same issue never got in touch with support staff. I called them 3 times and left 2 emails within a week, and never recieved any call back from them.

It does indicate in the manual that they are not waterproof but it also states that it is fine to wear while working out. Under warranty you have 1 year from purchase to return to wi-gear for any problems, in order to return for warranty though you need a RMA number from wi-gear, which you must get the RMA number to return it to them, and won’t accept returns without one. How are you going to return the product if you can never reach a person to help you. Thankfully, since it was still within the 30 days I was able to return it to amazon to get a refund otherwise I would be out $100 dollars.

This place has the worst customer service of any product I have bought from, and I have never purchased anything just to have it break down within 30 days, I would really caution people about buying this product, unless they want to throw away $100.

I love the iMuffs, no cords to get caught on things.

They work well and the battery life is fine. The sound quality is good with the dongle.

I wish the headband was designed to fold up for storage (like the blue ant headsets). I’ve broken one pair in my bag.

I had read the reviews that were available and they all had good things to say. The iMuffs seemed to be the ones to buy.

My experience is as follows: They arrived, and after I had set them up I went ahead and called a friend. The friend couldn’t hear me very well (I could hear him perfectly. Always the case with iMuffs) so we assumed it was the usual cell phone stuff. Then I called another friend, the same thing, so I said, hang on, and changed from iMuffs to iPhone, and viola! she could hear me perfectly. Some can’t tell the difference between the iMuffs and iPhone but most of the time they can’t hear me well at all on the iMuffs.

I called Wi-Gear and suggested they take a look and verify that my particular pair was, or was not, perhaps faulty. Their response was that there is nothing wrong with them and that I could get a refund.

I liked everything else about them, so I stupidly did not send them back for a refund. Started using them only when it was appropriate.

They have a pretty decent sound when listening to music, so I use then when I take a walk, but the next thing is when APPLE produces it’s first iPhone update, which included stereo blue tooth. The problem is that Apple made a mess of this update because after that, the pause button on the iMuffs will no longer work, which to me renders the iMuffs almost usless, thanks APPLE!!

Of course, neither Apple not Wi-Gear will discuss the glitch Apple caused, which is totally annoying since I payed money for these things and thereby deserve to know what’s happening. No matter how you slice it, that’s disgusting.

The dumb thing is that everyone, or enough people understand that technology is a work in progress and problems of this nature WILL show up. All I expect, being a customer, is to be told, ‘we’re aware of the problem and will fix it in due course’. They may have many complicated reasons for their silence, but it does not alter the FACT.

I’d say back off on the iMuffs until these people get their stuff together. If they do, it’ll be a recommended product.
