I’m not a real fan of Monopoly but I bought it for my iPhone and really started to enjoy it. I thought bc I enjoyed it on the iPhone, it would just be that much better on a game system with a 46″ screen, Nope!! The iphone App is so much better!! I’ve played with others on both and they agree … The PS3 game is boring!! I mean, you shake the iPhone to roll the dice … You stop shaking it when you want to drop the roll. PS3, you push a button. How exciting!! (sarcastic)
Not happy @ all!!

Good: The graphics are okay and and the first few rounds of game play can be fun. There are different boards to choose which adds to the game-play.
Bad:
* The menu system is poorly designed. There is little distinction between selected buttons and non-selected. Selecting buttons is also buggy.
* You can not turn off the voice tips which get annoying after hearing repeatedly.
* The dice don’t seem random enough. I rolled three consecutive doubles (which sends you to jail) about 4 times the first two games I played.
* You have to sit through every action the AI makes.
* This game takes longer to play than the real monopoly.

I love playing Monopoly, but am honestly not very good at it, so I bought this game to get some practice. The graphics are very nice and the variety of games is pretty cool, although they’re not why I bought the game. That being said, playing the game itself is terribly dull. There is no option to only play against one other computer player, and there is no way to speed up the progress. It’s usually several minutes before it would come back around to my turn, and while that may be ok when playing with people, it really makes it boring when you’re alone. Also, I’m sure it’s completely random, but I reset the game 5 times in a row, and each time, I was the last player and once it was my turn, the computer players had bought up half of the board. I just really don’t like that I have to play against three players and that it moves so slowly, without a fair ability to buy up properties before they’re all gone.

This Monopoly game is not like the original game or the one for PS2. In this game you have to action the property if you do not purchase it yourself. My husband and I have figured out we can just let the time expire on the auction clock and if no bids are made we can move on. This makes the game drag and last forever. The PS2 version is much better!

I bought this game for my 9 year old son who loves Monopoly. This game is rather boring. Four of us cannot play with just two controllers so that is my biggest complaint. The game interaction could be a lot more entertaining. The only good thing about it, in my opinion, is the fact that I don’t vacuum up any houses or monopoly money – no missing pieces with a video game!!
